Here you can see some of the costumes from
popular movies and television shows that I've reproduced.
Harry Potter
This Hogwart's uniform robe is based on the original uniform from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The robe is made of black gabardine and has a satin damask lining and four decorative frogs and buttons. The crest, sweater and tie were all purchased.
Star Wars
This Star Wars Jedi costume is made in three parts. The undertunic and pants are linen, the overtunic, obi and tabbards are silk noile and the robe is wool. The belt, pouches and boots were all different shades of brown that I painted to match. There is also a lightsaber (not pictured) that clips to the left side of the belt. A lot of the research and information for this costume came from the following sites: The Padawan's Guide, Amber's Jedi Meditation Chamber and The Parts of Star Wars.
Wing Commander
The Wing Commander deck uniform was a real challenge due to the number of
pieces that had to be cut in order to get all of the detail in the pants and the coat.
I was very happy with the results, though I'd like to revisit the insignia and patches.
A friend recently sent me one of the actual shirts used in the movie, and I was
surprised to see how close my version was to the original.
Lord of the Rings
Frodo's suit from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The coat is herringbone wool with cotton
velveteen vest and breeches and an off-white linen shirt. For more information on the

This dress was inspired by Eowyn's white dress and was made for a young woman attending
Dragon Con in Atlanta. The dress is custom dyed silk noile with pin-tucked taffeta accents.
Underworld
This industrial gothic costume is inspired by the film Underworld. The faux leather vest features
decorative topstitching, one zipper pocket, one flap pocket and a back that matches the blood
red shirt. The faux leather full length coat has four buttons on the front, sleeve and back button
tabs, a center back vent and lining that matches the shirt and vest back.
Flash Gordon
A Ming the Merciless costume, inspired by the costume from the Flash Gordon movie,
in Chinese red taffeta with gold collar and accents. For more on this costume, please

G.I. Joe
A uniform based on the G.I. Joe cartoon also made for a Dragon Con attendee.
Star Trek
A Next Generation uniform shirt revisited for comfort in the heat of a summer convention.
A coat, belt and dickie based on Ensign Ro's costume from Next Generation.
Romulan dress with belt and insignia pin.
The Jetsons
Judy Jetson top, skirt and collar in pink organza and sparkle vinyl with bias accents.
Dr. Who
Dr. Who coat and suit made for my friend Beau. The coat is made of moleskin and lined in blue taffeta with red accents. the 2 piece suit is made of brown pin-striped poly and lined in red taffeta. See my In Progress page for more information on this costume.

Two dresses based on the dresses at the end of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
